Ignite and Matt Allen
This is no escape, this is no surrender my dear.. This is my parade, my happy ever after, but only if your here.. When Im lost and broken..
Easy Ash... Matt whispered as he threw his leg over the colt. He sat in the saddle, took a deep breath. He reached down and patted the colt's neck. Good boy... He cooed. It had been a rough night at the house... Candi and Josh were fighting... Matt heard some of it before going off to his apartment on the farm grounds. He was trying to figure out what was troubling Candi. He couldn't put his finger on it... till last night... She was pregneat and Josh didn't want the kid. It would ruin their business.... Why put horses before family? Matt sighed as he cued the colt to walk on.. Ash snorted softly and walked with ease onto the track. The colt loved it when he got to run... He was a different horse. The young black colt was one of Matt favorite rides this seasons. He was turning out to be a fine horse. Maybe someday he would be the star of the stable? The colt started to canter with grace. He arched his powerful neck, and looked kind of like a fairytail for a moment.. Matt smiled. It was peaceful to be able to just ride. Ash knew workouts weren't a take to goof off.... He had to save the real stuff for the races. Yes, the races. He seem to be running hard lately and Matt was worried that he was going to be over worked. Matt made a deal with Candi. He could be put in one more race, then he gets a months break.. She didn't like the idea much, but she had no choice seeing Matt won their bet. Ash has ran pretty good for a two year old. He was placing in the money, and doing a decent job. He was getting more confident everything each run. He likes to bullying Cody around, and the two of them have been fighting more... They use to be best buddies, but now Candi had to keep the two apart or risk one of them getting injuried. Matt worked Ash a bit more. They galloped a short bit, about 5 furlongs before Matt felt the colt was well worked. He slowed him down, cooled him off before heading back to the stable.
Take me as I am, right here where I stand.. Open up your arms and let me in. Out here on my own, I know Im not alone. Let me in your heart right where you stand.. Take me as I am..
